Birthday Mania and Blog Train freebie!

Well, at least for me, LOL. A lot of people I knew and people I met in scrapbooking community (and their family) have birthday in this month. I will have my birthday next week, and also Stacy of Designs by Tater (her birthday is tomorrow!).This time, she team-up with Kayla of Keepscrappin' Designs created this huge fun and bright kit : BIRTHDAY MANIA

Introducing... My Creative Team!

So, yesterday my CT Call was officially over. I got a lot of responses of people who have interest with my designs. Much more than I thought I would get. I 'd love to take everyone that applied, unfortunately, I am unable to add all of them at this time :(

I got my first award, ever! Thanks to Chelcee of Pure Creativity Designs for giving me this 'Honest Scrap Award'. You really made my day!

The next part of receiving this award is that I have to write 10 things about me on my blog. Well, I'm in the mood for scrapping and I want to make it fun (at least for me, LOL), so I scrapped my 10 things. This is my recent 10 things list ;-p. It's been a while since the last time I played with Redju's kit. I always admire the quality of her kits (and she is such a sweet person too). All the papers and elements are so crispy-clear (try to zoom them in 100%, you will agree with me!). Today she has a new release : TONIC BERRIES in her store at Digital-Crea. I was so excited to scrap with it from the first time I saw the preview. I spent the last day before my vacation last week just to make some layouts. I just don't want to miss it, lol. Helping Hands and new CT blog

Hi there...

I'm back from my long break from scrapbooking (it was actually only 1 week, but it seems forever, lol). And when I checked my group, I found this gorgeous kit to scrap!

It is a fun and fresh kit with bright-soft colors which I loved, designed by Amber of Stolen Moments. If you have little helpers in your home who's ready to help you with home daily routine, this is perfect for them! And I know I have a plenty photos of my daughter doing her duty, lol. So, I had so much fun play with HELPING HANDS.

Sweater Weather by Stolen Moments

Autumn kits are everywhere…! Be sure you get the right kit for your photos. If you don’t know which one to choose, I recommended this one for you.

It’s a fresh release from Stolen Moments Designs’ SWEATER WEATHER, available at Scrapmatters (I love the tilte very much, lol). And I enjoy playing with it, one layout is just not enough ;-p. One thing I should mention : it has beautiful alphas!

Since we don’t have autumn season in Indonesia, I picked some photos of my daughter matching with the colors of the kit. And it turns out beautiful. Take a look at my layouts:

Stolen Moments also have an alpha available at Scrapmatters called HODGE PODGE ALPHA. It’s a great and playful alpha in 3 different colors with 3 types of fonts for each letter. Isn’t wonderful. Be sure you get it.

Sweet Childhood Collab Kit

Hi All…

This is the time for our monthly collab kit freebie. There’s a sad news, though. We miss one of our member : Mamaecha of Studio Mamaecha. Due to her personal reason, she’s taking a leave from scrapbooking (visit her blog for her statements). I’m not going to say that she’s retired, I’m still hoping that one day she will be in this track again… ;-p. She’s the one who introduced me to digital scrapbooking, and I admire her works very much.

Anyway…

This month’s collab is hosted by Any of Tritya Creations. She pick SWEET CHILDHOOD as our theme, and after so many bright colors in our previous collabs, finally we have soft colors this time.. ;-p.

And also because of internet problem, I tried not to put many elements in my kit to avoid big size of the files (sorry for that). I find a hard time to upload it to hosting site. So feel free to alter the color of all the elements to a matching color of your layouts. I did it with the string in my layout above.

If you don’t know how to change the color, here’s an easy tips (I’m using PS CS2):

1. open the file, make a duplicate of it (to avoid the change the original file). Desature the file (ctrl + shift + U)
2. Pick the matching color using eyedropper tool, then choose Hue/Saturation (ctrl + U), check the colorize option. Adjust the color by moving the saturation and lightness bar until you get the right color you want. Don’t change the hue to avoid the changes of the color tone.
3. Adjust the level (ctrl + L) to get the realistic affect of the object.
